Energy healing (EFT & Reiki)
I believe that change happens inside us when there is a shift in energy relating to our experience or understanding of a specific issue or event.
In a psychotherapy relationship, talking can be combined with working at a deeper level using energy psychology methods such as Emotion Freedom Technique (EFT), which promotes the natural healing capacities within our body & minds.
EFT is a gentle & non-invasive technique of working with the energy systems in the body. It involves tapping with your own fingers on certain acupressure points to release blockages arising from recent or past events.
Reiki is another healing modality where there is less talking & more focus on working directly with life force energy by the practitioner placing hands on certain parts of your body (fully clothed).
As reiki promotes the natural healing process of the body, it can reduce stress & tension, relieve pain effectively & bring balance to the mind & body.
I offer both of these methods of energy healing as sessions in themselves. EFT can also be easily integrated into ongoing therapy work.
Both are very effective & simple ways of reducing the symptoms associated with & experience of anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, attachment issues, low self-esteem, relationship problems & physical conditions such as pain & chronic illness.
